Harrow International School Appi is committed to keeping children safe. We expect all Harrow Appi community members including staff and visitors to share this commitment.
POLICY
Our Safeguarding Policy sets out our commitment, explains the steps we take to keep our students safe and outlines what we do when there are concerns about a student’s safety or wellbeing. Our Safeguarding Policy was published in July 2022 and will be reviewed annually.
RECRUITMENT
All academic and non-academic members of staff at Harrow Appi are subject to rigorous recruitment and vetting procedures to ensure they are suitable to work with our students. All senior staff involved in recruitment decisions are trained in ‘safe recruitment’ procedures following current international and UK best practice.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All Harrow Appi employees are required to read, sign and follow our Safeguarding Code of Conduct for Staff.
TRAINING
All Harrow Appi staff are required to undergo regular safeguarding training at the appropriate level, dependent on level of safeguarding responsibility.
AUDIT
The school’s safeguarding arrangements will be regularly audited both internally and externally to ensure our policies and procedures are effective.
